Just because the US govt says something doesn't mean its true. Decomposing wood is what creates the soil fertility in order to grow more trees and plants that provide a functioning ecosystem. In any case experts say it is highly unlikely there is enough waste to supply the annual requirements. Finally my article was not about your company but about biomass as a green energy source in general.

Stephen,

Your article contains several pieces of misinformation. First, biomass is indeed considered carbon neutral by U.S. government agencies. Second, the approach used by ADAGE involves no cutting down of trees, but uses wood waste that would otherwise decompose on the forest floor to generate electricity. While our company plans to use waste wood for projects in the United States, the main thrust of your article is about totally unconnected projects in South America where trees are cut down. Equating these two very different types of approaches is simply inaccurate. In sum, this work does little for your credibility.

It's just ridiculous how corporations want to push their agendas, that they would dare to "greenwash" tree cutting and burning!
