Global Village Column

A weekly a commentary on connected the dots on the causes and implications of various environmental issues. This would be a weekly a short (600-700 word) column on sent to you every second Tuesday and posted on some websites and ultimately on various news networks.

Budget: $200 per issue

Climate 101

Disinformation about climate science increases every day. To counter this how about a short guidebook to explains the jargon and basics about climate and science:  How do we know climate change is happening? What does PPM, peer-reviewed science really mean? What is the IPCC /UNFCCC and how do they work? What does PPM, peer-reviewed science really mean? What is the IPCC /UNFCCC and how does it work?

Suitable for passing along to help family, friends and colleagues get up to speed.

2 Degrees C — The Climate Danger Zone

The latest science (new report Nov 25 etc) show we are already in danger zone but the politicians heading to Copenhagen don’t get it. The article will lay out the latest climate science, the implications and the gap between what science says must happen and what is on the negotiating table. And what about the fast-climate fixes such as reductions in black carbon emissions that could reduce some of warming immediately?
